Precision Metagenomics Outperforms Conventional Urine Culture in Detecting Clinically Relevant Uropathogens

Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) are among the most common community-acquired infections. Per current guidelines, treatment is informed by urine culture, which favors the detection of pathogens that rapidly grow under standard conditions.
Precision Metagenomics (PM) provides culture-independent, comprehensive detection of uropathogens and associated genetic markers of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) directly from urine.
